Are White Lions Endangered?
White lions are NOT Endangered; NO African lions are classified as Endangered, and the so-called white lions are just a color mutation of African lion, not a separate species. All known white lions are either found in privately-owned animal parks or zoos, so they are protected by the people who own them. Only the Asian or Indian lion, which does NOT have a white mutation, is Endangered, and limited to just the Gir Forest Reserve of western India.
