Is alice in wonderland just about drugs?
Alice in wonderland was quite satirical on its release. It came along during the great binge, a time when Bayer patented Heroine and put it in cough medicine for children. Drug use was quite wide spread and even Harrods had a comfort pack that included morphine and cocaine to be sent to the boys at the front during WW1. Drug use only began to be outlawed around the 20s. I am just going to rip someone else off and post this::: Alice in Wonderland, a fantasy novel in many respects, also portrays to the reader a vivid reflection of society, both in the sense of caricaturing Victorian England and, in a broader sense, aspects of society as a whole. We see this through many of the figures that Alice meets during the course of the story, as well as some of the situations that befall the young girl and her unique acquaintances.
