Do Airsoft Sniper Rifles Cause Injury?

0

Most people seem to think that airsoft rifles (especially airsoft sniper rifles) can be dangerous or can cause harm. While it may sting quite a bit to get hit by a plastic airsoft BB, it certainly does not cause injury, except maybe in extremely rare cases. Plastic airsoft BBs simply do not have enough weight to penetrate into your skin; this is why it is just as safe a sport as paintball. The only difference between airsoft and paintball is that you can only feel the BB hit you, but you cannot actually see any mark where it hits. Basically it is fine to get shot anywhere but in the eyes when playing airsoft, and even you did get shot in the eye, it is highly unlikely that it would cause an actual injury (but in some cases it may be possible). While airsoft is certainly a safe (and fun) sport to play, you still will want to wear the proper gear. Basically the only thing that is really mandatory is proper eye protection. Airsoft vests can also be worn, but they do not really protect you
