How to Skate Backwards?
Skating backwards requires practice, practice, practice and a little bit of patience too. The easiest way to learn to skate backwards is to stand in place with your skates on and gently push out to the side with your left foot, glide slightly, then push off with your right foot and glide a little more. Eventually, as you get the hang of it, you will be pushing off to the left and right faster and with a longer stride until you are actually skating backwards!
