How Do You Remove Grout From Tile?
If you have small lumps of dried grout stuck to your ceramic tiles you need to remove them as quickly as possible. If your tiles look hazy after the job is finished, this is called grout haze. This haze needs to be removed before it discolors your tiles. If the grout lumps are just a day or two old, you can remove them with nylon scrub pads, a square-edged oak stick and some water. The oak sticks may be available at your local home improvement center. Pour a small amount of water on the grout. Gently but firmly scrape the lump off the tile using the square edge of the oak stick. Keep moistening the grout, if necessary, while using the stick to scrape the grout away. Wet the nylon scrub pad. Gently scrub the surface with the nylon scrub pad to remove any remaining grout. Use a grout sponge or other soft sponge to clean the area thoroughly.
