What is my Safe Forward Number?
A Safe Forward Number is a number that you specify. If calls cannot be sent to your adapter (e.g. if it is disconnected or you have a power failure), those calls will be automatically forwarded to your Safe Forward Number. When your adapter is reconnected to the service and working again, calls will be automatically directed back to your adapter. Your Safe Forward Number can be your wireless phone, another phone in your home not attached to your adapter, your direct-dial work phone, or a friend or neighbor’s phone. If a call is forwarded to your Safe Forward Number and there is no answer or voice mail doesn’t pick up, the caller is re-directed to your AT&T CallVantage Service Voice Mail.
