Are the Segways available for rent?
Unfotunately, Sanibel city ordinance does not allow Segways on public property with the exception of a guided tour. Although the Segway’s safty record is very good, an eighteen month safety study is under way before the matter is brought back up to the Sanibel city council. Therefore, renting a Segway for personal use on Sanibel is impractical. We do provide rentals off island, for personal, corporate, and civil use.
