Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland. It is a dynamic city, with plenty of shops, museums, pubs, restaurants, cinemas, and just about anything you might want in terms of shopping, entertainment, or a good night out. Though Glasgow is busy city, it is easy to get around. There is very good public transportation, like the buses and underground, but you can also take advantage of sunny days by walking to your destination. The University of Glasgow is located in the West End, which is a quieter, more residential part of the city, a 20-minute walk from the city centre. Though it is more residential, there is plenty to do in the West End, as it has its own shops, museums and restaurants.
