Why Study Taiwan Studies at SOAS?
The Taiwan Studies Programme at SOAS offers the widest range of interdisciplinary taught courses on Contemporary Taiwan. We now offer courses on Taiwan politics, film, economics, society, culture and language as part of our MA in Taiwan Studies. This degree is the first of its kind to be offered in Europe, the United States or elsewhere in the English-speaking world. The courses are also available to students taking the following MA or MSc degrees: Pacific Asian Studies, Asian Politics, Chinese Studies, Japanese Studies, Development Studies, and International Studies and Diplomacy.
