Although the video card on your computer or your electronic device may have a DVI output, your computer monitor or HD television may feature only HDMI inputs. You can still link your computer or electronic device to the display via a DVI-to-HDMI adapter. These adapters are relatively inexpensive and available at most electronics and computer stores. You will also need to procure an HDMI cable if you do not already own one. Connect the DVI-to-HDMI adapter to your computer video card or your electronic device DVI output. Insert one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI adapter connector. Insert the other end of the HDMI cable into the display device’s HDMI input. If you have more than one HDMI input, make note of the the port identification number.
