The art of sliding a skateboard sounds easy enough. But do you have the right board? Do you have a board that will pull you out of a sharp corner? Do you have a board that will help you snap back up in to your normal riding position? Well maybe that’s too many questions to ask or think about right now. For the time being I’ll give you some things to consider when you’re trying to purchase your first sliding board. A good sliding board has deep concave along with a double kicker construction. Think of it as a street board, the one you see all those guys doing tricks on at the local skate park, but with more bow in the middle. The next thing to consider is your size. Are you a big guy or a little guy? If you’re a big guy you’ll want a longer board, something in the 38-40 inch range. You will also want a wider board to accommodate your bigger feet.
