When to Treat for White Grubs?
White grubs are a very serious and destructive ground pest that feed on the roots of turf grasses. They are called “white” grubs because their bodies are white in color and are “C” shaped. Grubs are the larvae of several different kinds of beetles. White grubs eat the roots of turf grasses, and a problem presents itself as browning in the lawn area—usually in sunny, well-watered areas near pavement. Turf grasses affected by grubs are easily removed because they are no longer attached to the ground by a root system.
