How Do You Clean A Gunite Pool?
Gunite is a type of cement aggregate that is often used to make swimming pools. It gets its name because a gun-like tool is used to add water to the dry cement while it is applied to a surface. Cleaning a gunite pool is not any more difficult than cleaning a traditional concrete pool. It takes about 30 minutes to an hour per day of regular maintenance. If you skip days, the task will get harder and more time consuming. Take any large items out of your pool, such as flotation devices, toys and tree branches. The simplest way to do this is to just jump in the pool and grab them. Then skim the leaf rake net across the top of the water. Use your pool brush to wipe the walls of the pool. Always brush downward so that any debris winds up in the bottom of the pool. Then brush the bottom of the pool, pushing the debris from the walls, plus any new debris to the deepest end.
