There is nothing so delicious as hot Irish Soda Bread fresh from the oven. It is an old traditional Celtic favorite. Most of us love to eat it as part of the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Here is a wonderful recipe on how to make Celtic Irish Soda Bread: Begin by turning the oven on to 350 degrees. Next, measure all of the dry ingredients and put into a large bowl and mix together. Pour the buttermilk into the bowl of dry ingredients a little bit at a time. Stir until the dough is the consistency of biscuit dough. It will be sticky. You may want to add some green food coloring for St Patrick’s Day. Stir in some raisins or currents only if you like them. The Irish soda bread is great without them, however.
