How Do You Make Indian Chai Tea?

0

It’s not hard to make Indian Chai Tea properly. Indian Tea (Chai Tea) has become popular over recent years throughout the US. Below is a simple guide on how to make your own Chai tea. You can alter how much you use of all of the ingredients (except the tea) to adjust to your taste. I would not recomment using substitutes for any of the ingredients. However, if you are lactose intolerant I would recommend using a vanilla soy milk or rice milk. Under resources there are links for Darjeeling tea leaves for your convenience. Place the cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and the water into a pot and bring to a boil. Once it begins a slow boil, lower the heat and let it simmer for 9 minutes. If you prefer your tea strong, you can add another 1-3 minutes. Add the sugar and milk, stir gently, and then bring back to a simmer. Add the tea leaves, then remove from the heat and cover the pot. Let the tea steep for 4 minutes, then strain the tea before serving.
