What is the TASP test?
The Texas Academic Skills Program (TASP) provides information about, and assistance with, the reading, writing and math skills of students entering Texas public colleges and universities starting in the Fall semester 1988. Students must have been taken the TASP test or an approved alternative test before enrolling in any college-level classes. HCC has accepted the ASSET with the writing samples as the approved alternative test for TASP. The cost of the ASSET with the writing sample is $25.
