How Do I Make the Screen on a Dell Laptop Brighter?
Squinting at a laptop screen can be annoying as well as damaging to your eyes. You don’t have to put up with having a dim screen. With a little basic troubleshooting, you brighten your screen easily. Dell laptops have a number of ways to do this and each model can have slightly different methods of brightening, so make sure you are familiar with the basics of your laptop’s layout. Check to make sure that the ambient light sensor on the front of the display is uncovered so it can function properly. (This sensor is not found on all models.) Do not cover the sensor with tape, labels or stickers. The sensor automatically brightens the display if the lighting around it is low. Press the designated key on the keyboard to brighten the screen.
