How Do You Intall Saltillo Tile?
You have probably seen Saltillo tiles in a kitchen or living room and noticed how unique each individual tile is. Saltillo tiles are made in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico by hand, so each tile has its own personality and style. But Saltillo tiles are not just great for indoor projects. This unique southwestern flooring option can also work great outdoors if you are looking to install a new outdoor seating area or update your patio or porch. Sweep away any debris that may be on your workspace. Use the measuring tape to mark two intersecting lines across your workspace with the chalk line marker that cross in the exact middle of the floor. Using the four corners of the intersection you just marked as your starting point, place tiles along the lines about 1/4 inch apart. Work outward from what now looks like a cross of tiles on your workspace floor, and place tiles 1/4 inch apart working from the center out to the edges until your space is covered in tiles.
