What is bricking?
Bricking: When a Wii stops working after it tries to update its firmware with a different region firmware, or if it can’t update, hence becoming as useful and entertaining as a brick. Semi-Bricking: When a Wii experiences reduced functionality after it tries to update its firmware with the firmware of a different region. Typically the settings menu is no longer accessible, but games are still playable, hence, “semi-bricked”.
