What does the olive tree stand for ?
The first school established in 1886 was surrounded by olive groves. Olive growing was an important source of food and livelihood, and an essential part of the lives of many people in the area. It was regarded as a symbol for a productive long life. Today it is an international symbol of peace. These reasons made it a natural choice as the logo of the member schools of the SABIS® School Network.
