Who came up with the golden ratio?
Who came up with the golden ration? Nobody did. It is intrinsic in ALL life. It is a function of growth. It is the nature of DNA (a golden spiral). We – all living systems – are manifestations of The Golden Mean. It existed BEFORE it was "discovered", for it underlies all thought. So yeah, it’s ancient. But to think that an individual human "came up with" the idea is as absurd as to suggest that someone discovered "sex" not too long ago. If you study carefully the sizes and measures of great art, you will find that the Golden Ratio has been THE main method of design for 1000s of years… and across the globe. Why has it been kept such a secret from the "public" is the only remaining question to ask.
