What is sentence structure?
Sentence structure refers to the way in which a sentence is composed. A properly structured sentence requires a subject, a verb and a predicate at the very least. For example, in the sentence, “I answer questions.”, “I” is the subject, “answer” is the verb and “questions” is the predicate. The sentence’s structure is subject-verb-predicate. Every normal sentence in written English has a main clause, which consists of a main subject and a main verb. The sentence structure of a declarative statement is different from the sentence structure of a question. Here, we deal with declarative sentences.
