Were the Fort Hood shootings terrorism?
Excellent question. . Though it is pretty much hedging my bets let me say that the effects are as of terrorism regardless of whether Major Husan’s intentions were to commit terrorism. . Treachery is a morale killer. Husan murdered thirteen people who thought they could trust him. I have no doubt that members of the American military are extremely shaken by this. It’s one thing to get killed by an enemy in Iraq and another to get killed by a superior officer while you’re packing your go bag.
