0

Gophers and moles are considered a nuisance to lawns and gardens and can be difficult to control or remove from your property. Not only can they destroy live plants and grass, but the rodents can also destroy water pipes and buried power lines. It may be hard for you to kill the animals, but not taking action against them will eventually cost you money in lawn and garden repair. Wash the rodent traps with fresh water to remove any human scent. Put on gardening gloves before you install the traps. Locate a recently dug gopher or mole tunnel on your property. You will want to dig 6 to 12 inches underground until you locate the bottom of the rodent tunnel. Set each trap by pulling the spring mechanism to the retracted position. Cover the traps with a light coat of dirt from the gopher tunnel. Repeat the trap setting on other gopher and mole tunnels if you have a significant number of new tunnels dug daily. One set of traps in the front and back yards of a home should be sufficient to star
