For computer troubleshooting, slowness issues may be the fault of an older processor. You may want to check the CPU speed on your computer to confirm the processor’s statistics. In windows, there are two ways to check the speed of a processor. System Properties Step 1 Open the System Properties window. On the desktop, right-click on the “My Computer” icon. Select “Properties” from the menu. Step 2 Click the “General” tab. Step 3 View the processor speed. On the second or third line under the “Computer” section, the speed of the processor is shown. System Information Utility Step 1 Open the utility. Click the Windows “Start” button and select “Run.” Type “msinfo32” in the textbox and press “Enter.” Step 2 Click the “System Summary” button.
