Whats with all the Duck Names?
This English-style pub/restaurant is about a five block walk from the Lucky Duck Pub, but the name is about the only feature that these two pubs have in common. The Lucky Duck sits on an upstairs floor and features pool, patio and TV sports. The Dog and Duck was converted from a residential home and features a more traditional pub-like ambiance, including the menu. The Crowd You can expect a large, busy lunch and after-work crowd, especially on Friday evenings. During the week, however, it thins out later in the evening when the dart-throwing league fraternity isn’t around. It’s not unusual for the doors to close a little bit early when the bar staff outnumber the customers. Warm Atmosphere The majority of the clientiele, a good mix of locals, Brits and other overseas transplants, stop by for a pint or two after work.
