What cars do general motors make?
General Motors is Headquartered in the city of Detroit. They are the number one auto maker in the US and the number two automaker in the world. They are responsible for producing 8 brands in the US and they include: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Saturn, Pontiac, Hummer and Saab. Unfortunately, due to the recent financial problems at GM and the bankruptcy filing this summer, GM will drop 4 bands and keep 4 core brands: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac. Pontiac will be phased out, Saturn will be sold to Penske Auto, Saab will be sold to a sweedish company (i think) and Hummer is in the works to be sold to a Chinese company. In Europe GM has Chevy, Cadillac and Opel/Vauxhall, but GM intends to sell Opel/Vauxhall soon. In China GM is huge and sells Chevrolets and Buicks along with partnerships with chinese auto companies. As to where they make them the simple answer is worldwide. For example the Vauxhall Astra used to be built in the U.K, Belgium and Poland. The Signum and Vectra Germany, Corsa in Spain, SAAB in Sweden.
