Can software purchased under the Academic Select Agreement be licensed concurrently?
No. Microsoft does not allow concurrent licensing for software purchased under this agreement. This prevents colleges and departments from using a small number of licenses on many computers as is done with some other products (i.e. Adobe products can be licensed concurrently and can be metered by a key server). Microsoft’s solution to concurrency is the Campus Agreement which allows departments and colleges to license software based on faculty and staff FTE instead of the individual number of licenses needed.
