Are the moody blues real music legends?
Not really. They are at best average musicians who found the right formula at the right time. I always called them Hippie Elevator Music when I was a teen and they were at their peak. Listen to their first hit “Go Now”, which was piano-heavy Brit-pop and quite enjoyable. I felt they became very pretentious later on and only enjoyed the songs written by drummer Graeme Edge. Chuck Berry’s music was shot into outer space, too. Chuck is more deserving of the honor.
