what gets the best results for treating allergies – dust mites, tree pollen, tagweed, cat dander – shots?
Start with the dust mites. Replace your pillows with foam rubber ones. Cover the pillow in a plastic case made for helping with dust mites. Wash your pillow cases every three or four days in hot water and add some bleach. Cover your mattress with a mite proof plastic cover. Wash all sheets and blankets once a week with bleach in the hot wash. Make sure your vacuum has a HEPA filter. If you have central heat or air, make sure you use a HEPA filter and change it often. You may want to add a HEPA air filter in your bedroom too. If you can, replace carpets with tile, wood, bamboo or other flooring that won’t collect dust. Replace any old window coverings and get easily washable ones. Wash them. Look into NAET: http://www.naet.com/ Some people have told me this works. Hard to get rid of your cat, but when it passes, get a low or no dander cat. If you can’t wait, give the cat to a neighbor or relative, so you can still visit him/her. You may need to wear a pollen filter from your home to you
