Does BPM support business rules?
As part of the three year BPM Roadmap with SAP NetWeaver there will be a first integration of business rules (decisions tables) into the process composition layer. This will continue to evolve into a full business process & rules management suite – seamless path from composition to process to rule. For SAP, the acquisition of YASU Technologies offers a perfect fit into SAP NetWeaver CE and the new BPM solution. SAP intends a staged approach to an integrated business process with business rule composition, execution and management and plans: • Phase 1: Native integration of business rules (decision tables) into process composition; • Phase 2: Additional rule sets and business user functionality; • Phase 3: Full business rules management – seamless path from composition to process to rule.
