Job fairs are popular events at colleges, universities, career counseling centers and other community venues. There are always people in search of a job, and a job fair is a convenient way for job seekers to gain access to many potential employers in one location. Coordinating a job fair requires attention to detail, organization and an ability to remain calm under pressure. Secure a venue to hold your job fair. Look within your own organization first. Does your company have a space large enough to host the event? If so, that will be the easiest and most cost-effective space to secure. If you’re an employee of a college or university, you can reserve the gymnasium or a large conference room. If your company doesn’t have space to hold the event, you’ll have to look at other community locations and you may have to pay a fee to reserve the space.
