What is a guild?

Let’s begin with the American Heritage Dictionary’s definition of the word guild: guild—an association of persons of the same trade or pursuits, formed to protect the mutual interests and maintain standards. This is a basic explanation of the word but the word carries so much more meaning for me. Here is what I think of when I refer to my experience with a guild. G stands for Group. A group provides you with like-minded individuals to support your interest. They are your training buddies who see what you look like out on the floor, what skills need improvement, what moves show your dog to it’s best advantage, and what is pleasing to an audience. By combining each member’s talents and strengths, knowledge and skills, the group expands the body of information available to each member. The group shares knowledge and skills to support your efforts, celebrates your accomplishments, understands your problems,
A Guild is like a “club” where you can talk to other Neopets players who have the same interests as yourself, for example Sailor Moon or Harry Potter. Some Guilds have Guild member benefits where you get free medicine or they have cool games. Basically it’s just a place to hang out and meet new people.
A Guild is a group of people who share similar interests. Some Guilds, for instance, revolve around a certain Neopet, the Battledome, or becoming a NeoMillionaire; others focus on real-world interests, such as sports or favorite animals. Whatever you like best – about Neopets or the real world – there’s probably a Guild for you.
A Guild is a group of players within the same organization, run by players themselves. It could be democratic, anarchistic, totalitarian, etc. Any player can join a guild for whatever reasons, and more simply a guild can just be a group of friends. Each guild is supposed to provide mutual protection for all guild members, and a place where they can draw support and assistance from the other players (guildees, as they are often referred to).
A Guild is an official game community provided as a part of the game system. A user can easily create or join a guild by filling out little bit of required information on the official website. A user could gather other gamers who can enjoy the game together via other fan sites. However, using the Guild system provided by Gunbound will not only accept the guild as an official community of the game, but will also provide additional factors that make the game playing more enjoyable and fun.
