How did BuzzFree Prom get started?
Launched in 2003 in Texas by its founder, Liza Orchard, BuzzFree Prom was created as a positive-peer-pressure solution not only to encourage young adults not to drink alcohol or use other drugs on Prom night, but also to truly acknowledge the millions of students who already make responsible choices. Thousands of schools nationwide already ask students to sign pledges to stay sober. BuzzFree’s goal is to enhance and complement community efforts with additional powerful and affordable curriculum, innovative ways to involve business communities, and most importantly, new methods to effectively and continually measure the impact of all our efforts.
