Making tie-dyed clothing is tons of fun for kids of all ages. In this article I will explain how to create tie dye t-shirts with Kool-Aid. Making tie-dyed T-shirts is a fun activity for kids and adults all ages. Start with a few white T-shirts or as many T-shirts that you want to tie dye. Then go to your local supermarket and select as many colors as they have in supply of unsweetened Kool-Aid powder mixes. Determine what colors you want in your tie-dye T-Shirts and buy that Kool-Aid powder mix. Dissolve each package of Kool-Aid into 1 ounce of vinegar in its own bowl or container. Use rubber bands to twist your soon to be tie dyed t-shirts into unusual shapes. Dip each t-shirt into the bowls. After drying the tie-dyed T-shirts, Take off the rubber bands on the t-shirt then set your colors by placing a pillowcase or thin dish towel over each shirt. Iron the tie dyed T-shirt with a medium-hot iron. Wait at least 24 hours, then wash each tie dyed T-shirt separately.
