Does the law apply to charitable sales promotions?
Every charitable organization that participates in a charitable sales promotion in Colorado needs to register, but its commercial coventurer is not required to register. However, when a commercial coventurer expects that more than 50% of all proceeds of a solicitation campaign will be derived from transactions in Colorado, that commercial coventurer is required to make certain disclosures in each advertisement pertaining to the promotion.
