Pinatas are a wonderful part of Spanish tradition and fiestas. Incorporating a pinata into a birthday or holiday celebration is enjoyable for both children and adults. Making your own pinata can be done in a few easy steps so that you can include one at your next celebration. Create a paste. Combine 2 cups of flour with 3 cups of water in the bowl. Make sure the bowl is large enough so the mixture won’t splash. Mix the flour and water until the paste forms. The mixture should be semi-thick but loose enough that it is workable. Assemble the balloons. Buy enough balloons to create the shape of the pinata you want. Inflate the balloons, then stretch and bend them into the desired shape. Bind them together with duct tape so they will be secure. Cover the balloons with the newspaper.
