A4 is ‘standard’ size paper in Europe it is 210mmx297mm (width x height). A5 paper is simply A4 paper folded in half down the longest edge. So two A5 pages would be the same size as one A4. A6 Paper is A5 paper folded in half. As the number increases the paper size gets smaller. In contrast A3 paper is the same size as two A4 sheets joined along the longest edge. A2 Paper would be two A3 sheets joined along the longest edge. Paper sizes go up to A0 and down to A7.
