Penrith basically is a market town located in the county of Cumbria, England; it is positioned towards Eden Valley, north of River Eamont, and lays approximately five kilometres exterior of the Boundaries of Lake District National park. Other local rivers that border the town are River Lowther and River Petteril. Rivers Petteril and Eamont are linked to the town by a somewhat man-made watercourse which passes from the centre of the town and is known as the Thacka Beck, it has also been the town’s foremost water supply for many years. The local ruling power of Penrith has been Eden District Council, which is located in the town and was initially the seat of both Urban as well as rural district councils. Penrith is the second least inhabited un-parished region.
