Where does Godiva chocolate come from?
Godiva chocolates originate from Brussels, Belgium. The company was founded over 75 years ago and they hit America in 1966. They lead the premium gourmet chocolate market and continue to dominate the chocolate market in the U.S. There are 200 specialty boutiques in major U.S. cities and 1,000 additional outlets in fine department stores. The Godiva name comes from Lady Godiva, who rode through the streets of Coventry in her birthday suit in 1057.
