Who invented SIPs?
A34. SIPs were actually invented by Frank Lloyd Wright. The first SIP homes were built by the United States Forestry Service in 1935. They have provided a great alternative method of building since that time and have improved with technological advancement. Since bad weather has become an issue recently and the cost of concrete has been rising, the demand has been rising very dramatically. It should be noted that concrete is porous and although it can withstand bad weather, it is not an ideal building material for insulation or protection agains insect infestation. SIPs are clearly the best material to build with.
