Oil candles are beautiful and functional. They are usually made in glass jars or bottles, but brass or stone containers can also be used. The wicks are suspended in a glass rube or eyelet. Oil candles last for a long time and burn cleanly without the drips and all of the smoke and black soot of traditional candles. Craftspeople can be as creative as they dare with containers and accessories, making this craft a very popular one. They make great gifts because everyone loves candles! Choose the container, jar or bottle for your candle. Decorate the container if desired. Fill the container with decorative accessories such as flowers, marbles, etc. Fill the container with liquid paraffin oil almost to the top.
