Does Itching Cause Stretch Marks?
Itching and stretch marks seem to go hand in hand for many women, especially during pregnancy. A condition known as pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP) can occur on or near stretch marks. There is no known cure for these and no known cause. Topical creams, antihistamines or topical steroids may help. The condition usually goes away on its own and when the baby is delivered.
