The causes of low female libido could be grouped into two: physical and emotional. The primary physical cause of lowered female libido is age. Women who are in their menopausal stage usually experiences lower female libido. However, more women today have reported decreasing interest in sexual intimacy even though they are still in pre-menopausal stage. As early as in their late 20s, some women are already experiencing lowered female libido. Other physical causes of low female libido are iron deficiency, high blood pressure, anemia and other medical conditions. There are also emotional causes that lower female libido. Stress, depression and family problems could be the cause of lowered female libido.
