Whats important in a hydraulic oil?
A hydraulic fluid acts as a medium transferring pressure to other hydraulic components, as well as lubricating hydraulic pumps and bearings, plus sealing and cooling. A good quality hydraulic fluid has to have a number of features including anti-wear protection, efficient air-release and anti-foaming, and effective resistance to the effects of heat, oxygen, and water (see below for information on these properties).
