How Do You Burn IMG Files In Nero?
By default, the Nero CD and DVD burning suite does not recognize IMG image files. In order to burn the image using Nero, you must first convert the files into a Nero-compatible format. The most universal image format is the ISO. Using an additional application, you can easily convert the IMG to ISO and burn the image with Nero. Download and install MagicISO. MagicISO is another DVD authoring program, though it separates itself from the pack by including a conversion mechanism. A free trial is available and there are numerous other image file conversion programs that you can use besides MagicISO (see Resources). Run the ISO conversion application. Select “Tools” > “Convert.” Navigate to your IMG file (the location of the conversion tool may differ depending on the application–refer to the help files). Select “Standard ISO Image File” as the file format. Name the resulting ISO file. Select “Convert.” This will convert the IMG to ISO. Once it is complete, quit the application. Open Nero.
