What is Hydroxocobalamin Used For?
Hydroxocobalamin is a man-made (synthetic) form of vitamin B12; a vitamin that helps the body with blood and nerve function, cell production, and growth. Some medical conditions (e.g., various GI problems, cancer, infections) may cause low levels of vitamin B12 in the body. How To Use Hydroxocobalamin Inject Hydroxocobalamin into a muscle (IM) as directed by your doctor. Initially, it is usually given once daily but may later be changed by your doctor to once monthly (for maintenance). Hydroxocobalamin should not be mixed with certain other injectable medications.
