Most DVDs which are purchased from the store are write protected. This means that a standard DVD burning program will not be able to make a copy of the DVD. This is to keep pirating of DVDs down, however, it also doesn’t let customers back up their information. There are specific DVD programs that allow you to get past the write protection. CloneDVD is one of these programs, and with only a few steps you can copy and backup any DVD you own. Launch CloneDVD. You will select the medium to which you want the DVD to be cloned. You can either have it made to put on a mobile device (such as an iPod), onto a computer or onto a DVD. Insert the movie you want to copy into the DVD drive. It will take a moment or two for the program to scan the movie. After it does, the content will appear in the main screen. Select if you want just the movie to be copied, or if you want the menu and additional content to be copied. Click “Copy” and the software will begin to make a copy of the DVD’s information
