How Do You Obtain Visa To China?
A Chinese visa grants you legal entry into China as a tourist, to study or to conduct business. Before you travel, you must obtain one from a visa service at a Chinese embassy or consulate.The process is relatively simple but does require a fair amount of preparation. Visit the Chinese Embassy website (see Resources) and download the Visa Application Form. Fill out the application. Select the “double-entry” option on the form if you will be traveling back and forth between Hong Kong and China proper. Once you’ve completed the application, glue or staple a recent 2×2-inch photo of yourself to the form. The photo may be in color or black and white. Locate the Chinese embassy or consulate nearest you (see Resources) and return the required material to the designated office. No appointment will be necessary.
