Does beheading hurt?
I am sure it does, but, if it is done cleanly, the sudden blood loss means immediate loss of consciousness. ALthough there are stories of decapitated heads speaking, it seems that they are apocryphal, though it is unknown if the eyes can continue to take in visual images.
